- Assist organizations and agencies in removal of non-beneficial dams and seek to improve water impoundments to ensure the long-term beneficial use of the public’s water for all reasonable uses;
- Assist organizations and agencies with stream restoration to improve water quality and quantity by working on or in riparian corridors, erosion, fish habitat, shading, stream bank stabilization, beaver habitat, etc.;
- Reduce negative impacts to surface water quality due to siltation, wildfire, agriculture, logging, drilling, and mining — seek to preserve the long-term integrity of the agriculture and extraction industries by securing the extent of their impacts to the public’s water;
- Restore groundwater and surface water levels; minimize damage and permanent losses due to over appropriation and non-beneficial uses of the public’s water;
- Reduce the risk of catastrophic fire due to drying out and subsequent dying out of forests.
