Descriptions:
All other non-agricultural Water use (domestic, municipal, commercial, industrial, etc.) comprises only 20% of all developed Water use in the state. Will we ever wring out enough water conservation from the cities and suburbs to solve the problem of increasing Water scarcity?
How much can we expect from non-agricultural uses to make a difference? We can examine how all urban and suburban areas can establish conservation programs, guidelines, services efficiencies, and incentives regarding efficient domestic, commercial, and industrial Water uses.
Central to the equity for the built environment is the need to address urban pressures encroaching on the natural environment and farms in EFU zones resulting in impacts to our Water supply and Water quality.
How do we get more businesses and organizations involved in addressing Water use and Water quality concerns? How do we incentivize businesses to use their connections with everyone who works and everyone who shops to secure a sustainable water future?
